“And now all is quiet aside from the grind of the engines. The TARDIS has never seemed so big and empty. The Doctor steadies himself against the desk as the loss of Amy crashes into him like a wave. A sob is getting through. He looks so old, so sad and so alone.”

And our history will never be erased, You were a great companion. And some memories will never fade away, You were a great companion.
So this is the end, Of an innocent era.

This is a really great graphic. And yes, I know, there are lots of pretty DW graphics on tumblr. But this one is BRILLIANT. And that’s because it doesn’t make any of them seem like they are better than the others. This is not saying any of them were better loved by the Doctor, this is not saying any of them were more important, this is not saying anything besides the fact that they each had their time with the Doctor and it ended. What this image really emphasizes is that every companion brings something unique both to the Doctor’s life and to the show. That’s why it’s completely absurd to say that someone was “a terrible companion” or “didn’t deserve to be a companion” or “should have just died” or any of the other horrible comments that can often be found floating around tumblr, causing strife in the fandom.
It’s been said so often that it’s almost lost its meaning….but it’s true….the Doctor only takes the best. All of his companions are worthy and wonderful. And not one is “better” or “more important” than the others.

REBLOGGING MY OWN GRAPHIC FOR THAT COMMENT ABOVE.
THANK YOU. THIS WAS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO GET ACROSS. <3
